HGVs are much longer, wider and higher than a car.
An HGV driver has lots of blind spots all around the vehicle. Understanding where the blind spots are will help you stay safe.
While the above video is intended to help cyclists stay safe around HGVs it is just as important for motorists, motorcyclists, pedestrians and all other road users to be aware of HGVs. It is important to see things from the other’s point of view.
Don’t forget– if you can’t see the driver in the HGV mirror, then he can’t see you!
